About me
My name is Kashi. I’m a certified Somatic Experiencing® (SE) Practitioner, holistic counselor, and group therapist. I assist in trainings at the Working with People Academy, and for over 18 years I have been engaged with the Path of Love personal growth and development process, as a participant, team leader, and assistant facilitator. I am currently completing my certification in the NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM), a clinical modality for working with complex and developmental trauma, with expected completion in 2026.

Alongside my private practice, I facilitate trauma and stress-relief workshops, both online and in person, for people living or working in crisis-affected environments. I also offer SE-based trauma sessions at Kruispost for undocumented individuals, facilitate groups using Methods for the Empowerment of Trauma Survivors (METS), and am a member of the SE Committee for Humanitarian Response (SECHR) and the Laguna Collective — both organisations are active in humanitarian mental and psychosocial support.

What shapes my work most is a deep trust in the body’s innate capacity to heal. My approach is grounded in the shared principles of Somatic Experiencing®, the Academy, NARM, and Path of Love: creating safety, cultivating gentle curiosity towards present-moment experience, and moving at a pace that feels respectful and supportive. In sessions, this translates into a compassionate exploration of intentions, present and past coping strategies, and how these show up in the body here and now. Rather than trying to change what is, the focus is on building awareness, resilience, and the capacity to meet life with greater presence and choice.

In another part of my professional life, I work as a public health specialist (MPH, MScPharm) and am a partner at hera – right to health & development. This work focuses on improving access to care and treatment in Africa and the Middle East, mainly through project evaluations, training, and supporting people who work directly in the field.

I offer individual sessions in Amsterdam and in Doorn (the Netherlands), both in person and online, in English and Dutch. Sessions last 60 minutes and cost €85 per hour (with differential rates possible). Before starting, we usually arrange a 30-minute introductory Zoom call to get to know each other and see whether working together feels like a good fit.

Kashi is a licensed therapist and member of the professional association CAT (Collectief Alternatieve Therapeuten registration number CL1957-06-03-19) and with GAT (govt recognised WKKGZ disputes committee)
